History
Since the family business was founded in 1954, we have been a manufacturer of exclusive garden furniture for indoor and outdoor use.
Here are the milestones in our company history:
Our story – a journey through time of design
1954
Hugo Müller and Joseph Duna founded Munich company together Boulevard Furniture
1954
The first own furniture series are developed in-house in Munich
1955
First trade fair appearance: For the first time, you are taking part in international furniture trade fairs
1966
The company is growing rapidly and now has around a hundred employees
1968
As a trained metalworker, Hugo Müller develops his first garden furniture and sets new design trends
1970
Munich Boulevard Möbel opens its first showroom in Berlin
1974
Another location follows: MBM opens a second showroom of its own in Munich
1982
Garden furniture made from Rilsan (bio-based polyamide) is produced for the first time and is enjoying great success
1989
MBM increases production: a production plant is opened in Padua (Italy).
1993
The company is handed over to the second generation - Markus and Bernd Duna take over
1995
Expansion of production: Our own furniture factory is opened in Surabaya (Indonesia).
2000
MBM opens showrooms all over the world: Miami, Shanghai, Beijing, Cape Town, Buenos Aires
2005
The first chair from the Teak alternative FUREMA will be included in the range
2011
Resysta becomes its own company: Resysta International GmbH. Resysta is the base material for FUREMA.
2012 / 2016 / 2017
The Resysta material won the Reddot Design Award in 2012, 2016 and 2017
since 2017
Focusing the product range on furniture from the Teak alternative FUREMA
2018
The material Resysta, the basis for FUREMA, wins the Green Product Award
2021
The chair Swan from the teak alternative FUREMA is awarded the German Design Award
